Anyone interested in organising and partaking in a private safari outside of set itineraries please contact us directly! We specialise in customising private, bespoke trips for one person up to groups of 8. We utilise our existing network of known, proven and reliable camps to find the best solution and match your needs and budget.

The process starts with an online discussion to understand your desires, objectives, approximate dates and budget, after which we will provide a couple of proposed itineraries for your review and comments. The final product has to closely match your expectations, but of course, please keep in mind that often last-minute inquiries will have limited options in terms of camp selection or prices. Therefore, the sooner you contact us the better! Usually, 12-16 months for trips to Botswana, Serengeti or Uganda is necessary to have a good chance for quality camps at desired dates or trekking permits.

Our promise to you is that we will only offer an itinerary that passes our standard of quality, in terms of both accommodation and wildlife sighting opportunities.

The use of private concessions in Botswana assures a super low density of vehicles and ability to accompany animals off the beaten track as they roam around, are on the hunt or simply enjoy a stroll though the plains. Everyone going on our trips, photographers particularly, enjoy a distinct lack of other vehicles and ability to explore wildlife in peace without ‘fighting with others’ for positions and good angles. The ability to leave the camp before sunrise and come back after sunset is another advantage to experience the best lighting conditions of dawn and dusk in the field surrounded by wildlife, a task not possible in national parks or reserves. The unique habitats provide opportunity for one-of-a-kind photos of cats in water environments, elephants bathing in water or night-time photography.

Testimonials

“My adventure of a lifetime was a trip to the mountains of Western Uganda with Wild Encounter Safaris. The well-organized encounters with both Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees were coupled with the spontaneous viewing of monkeys, crocodiles, elephants and variety of birds, making this a trip to remember! The Apes tracking hikes were at times taxing – but always rewarding. Accommodations were top class, intimate, and well-situated close to the daily kick-off points, which reduced the travel times and maximized relaxation in the evenings. Artur’s coordination was perfect – down to the smallest details. I highly recommend Wild Encounter Safaris and am looking forward to my next adventure with them!”

“The Botswana trip was AMAZING!  Kim and I were blown away by the magnificence of the animals, and more so by Artur’s knowledge of animal behavior and ability to anticipate when and where the best viewing spots would materialize.  We will never look at our pet cats the same way again.  Thanks so much for taking care of every little detail, and insuring that our trip was PERFECT!  As safari first-timers we were nervous, but after such an exhilarating experience we can’t wait to go again…with Wild Encounter Safaris of course.”

“How carefree it was to be able to go on a trip where all of the logistics have been meticulously sorted for us down to the very last detail by a perfectionist like Artur. We had the most incredible time on safari. If we had made a list of all we’d hoped to see and to experience, the list would have been exceeded in all respects. This was not, however, “tick it off the list” safari where just spotting the animals was the goal. Instead, we were able to take time to follow magnificent wild creatures like lions, cheetahs, wild painted dogs, elephants and leopards and observe their behaviour. It was very much an emotional investment. With an expert photographer’s eye, Artur was always careful to ensure we all had the best possible vantage for viewing and for photography. Last but certainly not least the camp accommodations including the food were superb, thanks to the attentive staff. Great work Artur! Many thanks.”

“I like rituals – porridge in the morning close to the campfire, a ‘bush baby’ in the vehicle before sunrise, a cold beer on a hot afternoon or a comfortable bed when I am tired. Everything was well organized and nicely timed. Nature was unforeseeable – every day something surprising happened. It was a great privilege to see variety of animals in their natural environment and spend hours with them observing their behaviours and daily routines. Unforgettable days were with painted dogs when many things took place – from their greetings to hunting. This trip requires reflection – some images are still fresh in my mind… and I miss them. It was a mix of a very well organized and planned trip, and astonishing nature. Thank You Artur.”

“Our safari in Botswana and Vic Falls was the experience of a lifetime. Our expectations were high, but they were exceeded by a wide margin. Our exposure to the animals and their behaviors was much more intimate and revealing than we could have imagined. The observations of animal behavior and the photo opportunities were unbelievable. The trackers ability to find the animals and keep us in close contact, even when predators were hunting, was more than thrilling; they were experiences for a lifetime. Finally, the hospitality in the camps was excellent; we were made to feel like family. We are ‘hooked’ for more safaris.”

“I don’t think I would have made the leap to do a safari at this point in my life. Artur is the reason I could take this trip without the stress of planning or worrying something would go wrong. I trusted he had all the details sorted out. He answered my many questions and provided more than enough information and tips. Since I did not do my usual research we did not know exactly what to expect. I can say that everything from the accommodations, food, camp staff, trackers, guides and most importantly the animals was phenomenal. I actually didn’t mind getting up before sunrise every day. I was excited for the next adventure each day. The connection with nature and the beautiful skies and stars was a much needed retreat from the world. The animal interactions we saw were fascinating – their interconnected roles and complex social structures were like the best version of reality TV. We were connected to the characters, rooting for them and eagerly awaiting to tune back in the next day. I recommend this experience to anyone but only if you go with Artur as your Tour leader.”
